Myths claim that Evergate is the lost eye of a forgotten deity, while some sages insist it was forged by a dangerous warmage seeking to evade divine retribution. Only Evergate itself knows the truth, but the mythically powerful shield-portal prefers to keep its origins, and countless other secrets, hidden from mortals, even those brave enough to bear it for a time during their brief lives.
Evergate remembers the wondrous, the terrible, and the bizarre realms it has seen and may bring forth their denizens in times of distress. Most mortals dare not attune to Evergate for long, lest they find their worst nightmares walking out of the shield’s portal.
