Character: Talia Dawntreader, Half-Elf Summoner (and her demonic dog, Casey!)
Talia Dawntreader was orphaned in the town of Bunton during the Incursion War with the Githyanki Horde. A group of adventurers came through town and served as town defenders from a band of rogue orc troops that attempted to destroy the town.
It was during this time that she met her adoptive parents from that adventuring group. Mallorious, an elf noble of the High Forest, and his fiancé, Elthera, a fetching bard. They soon took her to her father’s home in the High Forest, where, for a short while, she was living a happy life of exploration of the forest, making new friends, and starting a life anew away from war.
By misfortune, Talia became lost in the woods one afternoon. Scared and alone, she accidently conjured Casey, a demonic dog. She was frightened at first, not realizing she had summoned him. But then she understood that he was there protecting her; and once that happened, he became her best friend.
But everything changed one day. While her father was away, a bounty hunter came to their wood, searching for her mother. The two attempted to run from him and were using a teleportation circle to try and escape. Things went awry – and they ended up in new lands they were not familiar with… with the bounty hunter close behind.
With no way back, they could only move forward. Her mother hid Talia, and then led the bounty hunter away. talia hasn’t seen her since.
She found her way to the city of Augustana, by accident. There, she realized she couldn’t speak the language, and once she got to town, she came face to face with even more problems.
One of these problems got her into trouble – BIG trouble – and new friends saved her. They adopted her and formed an adventuring party. Now, they work to help her find her mother, and then a way home.
