Map: Space Station Arcturus
Space Station Arcturus started from one simple idea, freedom, being free from any and all possible madmen attempting to ruin the galaxy. Captain Alex Praxus of the Imperial Navy decided shortly after the Battle of Endor that he had had enough. He and the majority of his men had watched their friends and fellow Imperials die by the thousands at the hands of radicals. Captain Praxus knew it wasn't just these terrorists, he knew the Emperor and his cult were directly responsible for the state of the Galaxy. So after the battle, those who didn't agree with the majority were dealt with, and he and his fellow now Ex-Imperials set course for the outer rim.
Before the Concordance was signed, the New Republic and the Imperials waged some of the fiercest fighting the galaxy had seen since the Clone Wars. Refugee ships, destroyed worlds, and people of all kinds were left stranded in every possible situation. Praxus knew what would happen to them, he'd seen the results of Imperial expansion with no regard for anything else. They'd be taken advantage of at every turn, made the victims of the criminal underworld, or simply murdered in cold blood for existing in the wrong part of the galaxy. So, Praxus set the beginnings of his plan in motion.
Star Destroyer Arcturus set about the galaxy at the fringes, spreading the word of a space station for outsiders and those with nowhere to go. Putting the probe droids stored aboard to good use, he sent them out all over the outer rim. In the first few weeks, hundreds of people came, bringing what they had, and some even bringing entirely new ships to eventually attach and build into the station. For the first few years, you could still tell it was once an Imperial Star Destroyer, but every year after it grew harder and harder to tell. Until eventually, even those who had been drilled over and over aboard her, began to call it Arcturus Station.
The year is 30 ABY, and Arcturus Station is now a bustling hub of outer rim trade, crime, and the home of thousands. New outsiders come and go, but those who stay, often begin to lend a hand. Scrapper crews, security details, construction jobs, and merchanting opportunities are almost always available. But even in this new craziness that has overtaken the station, with what it has become, Captain Alex Praxus still has a plan and leads the station with confidence.
