Miyuki and Okura-Sama: Shrine Maiden and Ancient Black Dragon – D&D Characters

Miyuki showing her respect and affection to Okura-Sama, the black dragon protector of the city of Kuroito, after the death of his elder brother. As his shrine maiden, Miyuki knows that despite his rough and loud exterior, Okura-Sama harbors deep compassion for the mortals of Kuroito as well as for younger dragons regardless of their color, and he would die to protect them just like his brother did.

Character: Miyuki, Half-Elf (?) Shenzai Monk and Shrine Maiden
Miyuki is a gentle and kind shrine maiden who works hard to help out the poor and protect the weak. Hailing from the black dragonrealm of Kuroi, her life has been shaped by a secret she shares with other individuals around her age that has forced her to keep a distance from people around her, lest she put them all in danger.
From a young age, Myuki trained hard to compensate for her frail mortal frame, eventually achieving mastery over the longbow and the kodachi as a shenzai monk. Her reserved nature and her secret led her to become caretaker in the cave of the Okura-sama, a fiercely proud ancient black dragon who became the city’s grumpy protector after the death of his brother, Dosara-sama, in the dragonwars more than a century ago.
In reality, Miyuki is actually one of several juvenile dragons that have been raised hidden from the eyes of the gods. These are dragons whose eggs have been claimed by Tempestos, the warring god of the skies, forcing them to maintain a mortal masquerade to survive.
