Character: Kasumi Kōri, Kitsune Scout, and the Stellar Bunny
Kasumi is a rogue scout hailing from the frozen forests of the Moonlit Taiga. She and her fellow kitsune (foxfolk) are the caretakers of this ancient land, protecting the ancient sites and the rare creatures found within,
The firstborn of a litter of four kits, Kasumi was born on a cold, wintery night. Growing up, she quickly distinguished herself as a skilled hunter and tracker. As soon as she was of age, she set out on her own, stalking prey through the woods, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Eventually, Kasumi ran into non-kitsune people, a diverse group of adventurers searching for a yeti. Stealthily she tracked the strangers, trying to figure out their intentions. When she realized they were not after her, Kasumi made herself known to them and they teamed up to hunt the yeti.
After they felled the monster, Kasumi followed the group to claim her share of the reward. This was the first taste of something that ignited a fire in her heart. It was then she decided to leave the wilds of Moonlit Taiga to adventure and explore the world beyond!
About Stellar Bunnies:
Shy and kind-hearted, stellar bunnies are tiny celestial critters that hover jollily in the sky and glow with soft starlight. Wary of predators and erratic mortals, stellar bunnies will often use their starry camouflage to observe a creature while hiding against the clear night sky. If they decide it’s safe to approach, they will carefully fly closer to the creature and make their presence known with a polite and often timid telepathic whisper.
Stellar bunnies love being cuddled and stroked by creatures they trust. When content, they express their gratitude by glowing a little bit brighter and sending their friends small telepathic messages of appreciation.
Peaceful by nature, a stellar bunny will never seek combat. If it feels threatened, a stellar bunny will emit concentrated starlight from its body to dazzle its enemies and fly away from danger.
