Character Name: Miyuki, Half-Elf (?) Shenzai Monk and Shrine Maiden
Miyuki is a gentle and kind shrine maiden who works hard to help out the poor and protect the weak. Hailing from the black dragonrealm of Kuroi, her life has been shaped by a secret she shares with other individuals around her age that has forced her to keep a distance from people around her, lest she put them all in danger.
From a young age, Myuki trained hard to compensate for her frail mortal frame, eventually achieving mastery over the longbow and the kodachi as a shenzai monk. Her reserved nature and her secret led her to become caretaker in the cave of the Okura-sama, a fiercely proud ancient black dragon who became the city’s grumpy protector after the death of his brother, Dosara-sama, in the dragonwars more than a century ago.
Here, Miyuki has donned her yukata and is heading for the Ryu Matsuri, the spectacular summer festival of Kuroi. There will be fireworks, good food, dragonmagic, and perhaps a fateful encounter with someone dear to Myuki’s heart…
