Xerastra, Nirayne, and Princess Orokiya – D&D Characters

Xerastra, Nirayne, and Princess Orokiya are the summer pin-ups in the 2023 Catilus Fantasy Pin-Up Calendar! Check it out: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1335266787/2023-catilus-fantasy-pin-up-wall

About the heroines:
Xerastra, Half-Dragon Bard
As a rare half-dragon, Xerastra can experience the beauty of life as a mortal through the eyes of someone with a draconic perspective. Cheerful and fun-loving, she respects the insight of her blue dragon relatives while also understanding the wisdom of short-lived mortals.
Xerastra’s draconic nature is strong from her father’s side, but it only adds to her otherworldly elven beauty from her mother’s side. As a deeply magical bard, she laces her exotic dances with dragon magic and takes great pride in refining and perfecting her art.
Unafraid to flaunt her beauty and her skill, she travels far and wide, often bridging the gap between dragons and mortals with kind words and spectacular performances.

Nirayne “Rain” Waveborn, Half-Sea Elf Storm Sorceress
Nirayne is a half-sea elf storm sorceress, her magic coming directly from the sea and the sky. The proud seafaring dwarves of clan Waveborn raised Nirayne as their own after finding her as a baby adrift in her crib at sea.
Nirayne grew up in Wavetown, one of the floating cities of the sea dwarves, exploring remote and exotic islands as Wavetown traveled the oceans.
When she was old enough, she boarded the legendary enchanted ship Darkstorm, joining the rowdy crew of the infamous dark elf pirate Captain Kenthor “Rubyeye” Webcrest. With Nirayne’s magic, Captain Kenthor unlocked the Darkstorm’s true potential as one of the fastest ships in the seas of Naam.
Nirayne’s magic also animates the tattoos on her body. The starfish on her ankle always points north, and the wave patterns on her arm and her thigh change to reflect the surrounding weather.

Princess Orokiya, Daughter of the Crescent, Moon Elf Celestial Sorceress
Princess Orokiya is a true prodigy, having mastered both celestial and arcane magic from a young age. Considered to be the hope of the elven nation of Timinhur during an ambitious transition, her people and her betrothed, Prince Amontut VI, were shocked to hear news of her death by the royal diviners.
In fact, Princess Orokiya faked her death to escape the Selenean Idea, an ambitious scheme that changed Timinhur from a beautiful city into a sterile and oppressive regime and transformed most of its people from moon elves to arcane constructs, able to survive on the barren moon of Naam.
