Reis Emerging from the Underworld
A fun Theros-themed painting commission I completed recently!
Character: Clair (Reis), Female Changeling Nyxborn Bard and Warlock
Clair and her companions took on an epic quest to stop Callisto, a female warlord bent on dominating the world of Theros, by recovering the fragments of the mask of Erebos before Callisto could reunite them with the Anoie Mask by the royal advisors of Akros following the destruction of Meletis.
The party recovered the fragments with the aid of the gods, overcoming divine trials and confronting even Kruphix, the god of time, and Klothys, the goddess of fate. Eventually, Clair attempted the Path of Phenax by swimming the Tartyx River. She struggled at the end of the journey, losing her identity and becoming a Returned. She swore fealty to Phenax and became a warlock as she emerged from the Underworld.
