Creature Spotlight: Beryllium Elemental
Rarer than any other element in the first four periods, beryllium evaded discovery for a long time, yet mortals have been appreciating this elusive metal for ages through beryllium-rich gemstones such as aquamarine, emerald, and chrysoberyl.
In nature, beryllium is always found combined with other elements to form minerals, and its elemental manifestations, the beryllium elementals, are also very keen to socialize with other elementals including aluminium, oxygen, and silicon elementals.
Beryllium has a number of unusual properties, including exceptional heat dissipation and surprisingly fast sound conduction speed, which give beryllium elementals a degree of protection against fire and thunder damage. Beryllium is also transparent to x-rays and toxic to most creatures.
Familiar. At the gamemaster’s discretion, a player character who can cast find familiar may choose the form of a beryllium elemental for their familiar.
