About the heroines:

Wise enough to rein in her fiery temperament in service to her kind and the mortals under their protection, Chun Heng is a young adult red dragon who seeks to free enslaved mortals and inspire those who have lost their way to find a new life in Crilong, the Red Dragonrealm.
As a diplomat, Chun Heng travels beyond the Great Dragonwall in her mortal form and seeks audience with warlords and despots who maintain armies of slaves. Her message, delivered with utmost politeness and decorum, is clear: relinquish your power and release your slaves, or face the blazing wrath of the defiant red dragons. Most tyrants comply with Chun Heng’s offer and their lives are spared. Those who refuse live just long enough to see their palaces burn to the ground and their slaves revolt against them, led by a fiery red dragon.

Nel, Half-Angel Shadow Sorceress and Painter
Nel is a gentle and submissive half-angel who secretly harbors a lot of resentment and hate for oppressors. She is a fugitive, persecuted both by vengeful gods and zealotous theomachist priests who oppose the gods. To survive, Nel hides her true angelic identity with magic, and she even assumes different genders from time to time to throw off her pursuers.
Nelchior, the warring god of the night and dark secrets, claims dominion over dark angels and is particularly interested in subverting Nel’s power for his schemes. Between Nelchior’s plans and the monster hunters after her, she has precious few friends she can rely upon.

Orelyn, Dark Elf Abjuration Wizard and Archaeologist
Orelyn is a dark elf archaeologist, searching for ancient civilizations in the caves and deep places of her world.
