Spike is a wyvern tamed by the mage leader Omega. While he is considered a companion, he is far from harmless.
Omega uses Spike as a living trial, sending him against subjects to test their strength and resolve. Those who survive are seen as worthy of Omega’s attention, while those who fail are forgotten.
